Content: | This item is a pictorial propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. The leaflet concerns the food problem in Japan and the spread of some diseases as a result of severe food shortages. An English translation of the text is provided. 200,000 of them were printed. 20,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Morotai on 9 August 1945, 72,000 to Lae on 9 August 1945, and 32,000 to Darwin on 14 August 1945. 21,000 of them were destroyed on 24 August 1945. |
