Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet reports the surrender of seven members of the Imperial Japanese Army at Mamagota, Bougainville, and the surrender of almost 9,000 Japanese soldiers on Okinawa. The message emphasises that those who have surrendered realised the futility of further resistance. It urges the recipient to join these POWs so that he can live and support his dear children in the new Japan.
