Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) research report issued on 20 April 1944 containing general information about the areas from Bogadjim to Nubia. It contains a range of information on the regional topography, the native population (including conditions, characteristics and value as a source of information), road networks, bays and harbours, communications, agriculture and resources, coastal defences, battle orders and billeted forces for March 1943, airstrips and airfields, field dumps and supplies, and hospital and health maintenance. The appendix includes annotated maps for Bogadjim–Madang–Nubia, Bogadjim–Malaga, Bilibili Area, Madang, sketches of communication networks and a sketch of bivouacs and defences at Madang.
