Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. This edition is dated 1 June 1945. It reports news from Japan, Okinawa, and China. According to the pamphlet, Tokyo was bombed extensively and 5 million people are now homeles. Further air raids have been carried out. The battle in Okinawa is reaching its climax and the Allies' victory is imminent. In China, Nanning was captured by Chinese Forces. In Japan, chemical furtilisers have been rationed and reduced to two thirds.
