Content: This item is a copy of a letter from the headquarters of the South East Area Army to the 11th Division of the Australian forces. The purpose of the letter is to confirm what was agreed during the meeting on 20 November as to the treatment of Korean and Formosan servicemen. It was agreed that Korean and Formosan servicemen would be moved to Kokopo and supervised by Captain ASAKA during the construction of the Kokopo Camp, and that Australian officers would not have direct contact with representatives of these non-Japanese servicemen but give orders to Captain ASAKA.
