Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cyclops airfield (near Hollandia) on 29 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item contains extracts concerning facilities at Osaka harbour between 1 August 1940 and 10 April 1942, held by the Nakai Unit. It includes information on harbour installations, breakwaters, channel markers, mooring buoys, harbour tugs, reclaimed land, canals and piers.
