Content: | These items consists of records of operations of the Imperial Japanese forces in the North of Australia Area during the Pacific War. These records were compiled in June 1947 by the Demobilisation Ministry at the request of the Japanese government and the occupation forces. Although they were written soon after the events they describe, they were often reliant on recollections and interviews with veterans rather than primary military documentation. These records deal with the operations by the Eastern Forces in the attack of Ambon and Timor. |
