Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet reports the dropping of the first atomic bomb on Hiroshima and the damage caused by the bomb. The message states that more atomic bombs will be dropped unless the Japanese High Command surrenders unconditionally in two days. The message urges the Japanese troops on Bougainville to surrender to the Australian forces rather than to waste their lives in the last days of the war. |
