Content: This item is a hand-drawn map of New Britain depicting naval routes between various locations. The map has broken into several pieces, some of which are missing. On one segment is a map legend listing the symbols used on the map to indicate aerodromes, naval communications bases, radio stations, lines of communication, and secret refuges. There is also a list of the distances and travel times between locations in New Britain. This item was probably captured at Madang in 1944.
