Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Hollandia on 25 April 1944 during the Allied attacks on Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item contains notes on demolition and sabotage techniques and a chapter entitled "Munitions manufacturing plants", extracted from a manual entitled "Manual on the study and technique of demolition", written by Major INADA in November 1940. It contains information and sketches on the demolition of communications, factories and mines. It also contains notes on the production of projectiles, guns, small arms, explosives and war gases.

This item was most likely brought to New Guinea by units previously serving in China where chemical weapons were used.
