Content: | This item is a record of service for Corporal UEDA Masakiyo, of the 78th Infantry Regiment 1st Infantry Gun Detachment, who died in battle at Kabumi in February 1944. As well as the date and cause of death, the document lists UEDA's service record in the Imperial Army, beginning with his induction into the 168th Infantry Regiment in 1941. After joining the 78th Infantry Regiment in 1941, UEDA participated in military operations at Palau before landing with his unit at Hansa Bay in May 1943. This item was captured at Anamo in July 1944. |
