Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Nubia airfield (near Hansa Bay) on 22 June 1944 during the Japanese retreat across northern New Guinea from the Huon Peninsula campaigns. This item is a pamphlet entitled "Simple front line method of wet canister inspection and emergency reconditioning", issued in May 1941 by the Chemical Warfare Training Unit, China Expeditionary Force. It contains information on the testing and reconditioning by heating of wet chemical canisters. It also contains specifications for a Type 94 collective protector and a variety of red and smoke candles. |
