Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Fort Stotsenberg, Luzon, on 1 February 1945 during the Allied campaign to recapture the Philippines. This item is a pamphlet entitled "Research on night bombing of submarines with radar in current use", published by Yokusuka Naval Air Depot and reproduced by the Army Air Inspectorate Department on 31 August 1944. It contains information, charts and sketches on methods of searching for and approaching enemy submarines using Type 3 Ku Mk 6 Model 4 Radar based on experiments carried out since May 1944 by Yokosuka Air Three-seat Seaplane Reconnaissance Unit.
