Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Salamaua on 21 September 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item contains instructions for the movement of small craft between Madang and Lae during July 1943, with charts showing the organisation and disposition of boat units, sketches of communication systems and maps depicting small craft hide-outs and troop strengths at these points.
