Content: This item is a hand-drawn map of Langemak Bay and the Finschhafen area, possibly constructed for an attack or reconnaissance mission. It shows the major geographical and military features of the area at the time, including "secret locations" which may have been either the location of other troops, or secret hiding places. It also includes the locations of a ship, the Tottori Maru, and a naval surveillance post. This item was probably captured at Madang in 1944.
