Seminar papers
The AJRP was successful in attracting Japan Foundation and Toyota Foundation grants to bring Australian and Japanese researchers together for a series of seminars and a symposium. The seminars were by four Japanese scholars on sources for the history of Australia-Japan relations. These papers were delivered at the Australian War Memorial in late 1998 and early 1999. The symposium was held at the Australian National University from 19-21 October 2000 concerning the war in New Guinea, and was attended by scholars from Australia, Japan and Papua New Guinea. Several of the papers are reproduced here. The rest can be found at the Remembering the war in New Guinea website.
