Content: | This item is a copy of the Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. It appears that the Allies continued to produce the news bulletin in order to inform the Japanese of the post-surrender situation in Japan and in the areas formerly occupied by the Japanese. This bulletin reports the arrival of the first Allied Occupation Forces in Atsugi, the signing of the formal surrender instruments scheduled for 2 September 1945 and the Emperor's order for demobilisation. It also reports the surrender of the Japanese in Burma, Manchuria, China and New Guinea. |
