Content: This item is a petition document submitted by the National League of Allied Occupation Forces' Workers' Union regarding the management of labourers working for the UN forces. The document refers to a large disparity in wages between labourers employed by the Japanese government to work for US forces and those directly employed by BCOF. It also discusses various problems regarding working conditions such as paid leave and the right to dismiss workers. The Union argues that lack of an administrative agreement between the UN forces and the government has resulted in the absence of a labour agreement and work regulations covering BCOF labourers.
