Content: This item is a copy of General IMAMURA's application for permission to allow Japanese high-ranking officers to visit their subordinates in camps. The original was sent together with his submission dated 2 April 1946 (AWM 82 2/249). It was IMAMURA's attempt to facilitate a brief reunion of 18 high-ranking officers with their subordinates who were about to be repatriated.
