Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Sarmi on 1 June 1944 during the Allied attacks of Japanese positions in northern Dutch New Guinea, which were intended to isolate the 18th Army at Wewak. This item is a pamphlet on water supply and 12 types of army filters, from Goto Unit, Ko 1855 Force (North China area Army Water Purification Section), dated 20 June to 7 August 1942. It contains information on water rations for men and horses, a chart comparing the attributes of well and river waters, and specifications for various water filters. |
