Content: | These items consist of records of air operations of the Imperial Army Air Service in the South East Area during the Pacific War. Such records were compiled in the imediate post-war period by the Demobilisation Ministry at the request of the Japanese government and the Occupation Forces. Although they were written soon after the events they describe, they were often reliant on recollections and interviews with veterans rather than primary military documentation. |
