Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The message states that Wewak and its hinterland have been completely captured and other areas, such as the Philippines, Borneo, Iwo Jima and Okinawa were captured by the Allies. It states a group of Japanese officers and soldiers surrendered in the Wewak area recently and urges the rest to do the same for the postwar reconstruction of Japan.
