Content: This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The message states the previous three military attempts in New Guinea by Japanese forces ended in failure. At Rabi, Japanese troops were chased away. The Port Moresby attack also failed and the attempt at Wau also did not succeed. Furthermore, 22 out of 22 transport ships which were dispatched to resupply Lae were sunk by the Allies. Thus, Japanese troops will be doomed to die in the New Guinea jungles.
