Content: | This item is a pictorial propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. The leaflet includes a picture depicting three young Japanese women. The caption in Japanese describes the endless hope these women hold for their future. The message on the back of the leaflet states that all mankind lives for the future and questions why the Japanese soldiers donot do so when there is no use dying in the war. 176,000 of them were printed. 95,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Nadzab on 21 and 26 July 1944, 50,000 to Hollandia on 23 October 1944, and 24,000 to Lae on 20 November 1944. |
