Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for JA147508, a civilian employee with the 27th Field Freight Depot, Formosan Labour Unit, 1st Company, who was wounded and captured when his landing craft was sunk by a US patrol boat at Nightingale Bay (between Hansa and Wewak) on 28 April 1944. During the interrogation, JA147508 provided information about the organisation of the Formosan Labour Unit, his entry into Army service, the location of Allied prisoners of war at Hansa Bay and an Allied air attack at Hansa Bay in January 1944.
