Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Leading Aircraftman SUE Shirô of the 705th Air Corps 5th Platoon 1st Section, who was captured near Wau on 23 April 1943. SUE, a 20 year old Leading Aircraftman from Tokyo, was captured by local people after his aircraft crashed into the jungle on 14 April. The rest of the crew were all killed. During the interrogation, SUE provided information on the unit organisation, personnel of his Air Corps, equipment on board his plane, Vunakanau Airfield in Rabaul, and the airfield on Tinian Island. |
