Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Head Private ISHIZAKA Otoji of the 115th Infantry Regiment 3rd Battalion 11th Company 2nd Platoon 2nd Section, who was captured on Goodenough Island on 7 March 1943. ISHIZAKA, a 28 year old Head Private from Gunma, was captured by the US Navy when he landed on the island after his boat, Keifuku Maru, was sunk. During the interrogation, ISHIZAKA provided information mainly on his unit's organisation. He was described as "stupid" by his interrogators. |
