| Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Superior Private HORIGUCHI Takeshi of the 115th Infantry Regiment Gun Company 1st Platoon 1st Section, who was captured in Port Hennessy about 50 miles south of Buna on 9 March 1943. HORIGUCHI, a 28 year old Superior Private from Gunma, was captured by Australian troops in a local village after the sinking of his transport ship, Shinai Maru, on the way to Lae. During the interrogation, HORIGUCHI provided information on unit organisation, guns, and weapons. |
