Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Private JA145560 of the 102nd Infantry Regiment Regimental Headquarters 3rd Battalion 12th Company 2nd Platoon 4th Section, who was captured in Nassau Bay on 15 November 1943. JA145560, a 26 year old 1st Class Private from Ibaraki, was captured by Australian troops after hiding in the jungle for over a month when he and his companion were cut off from the rest of the unit during a retreat. He was in a grenade thrower section. During the interrogation, JA145560 provided information on his unit organisation, movements, morale, and grenade throwers. |
