Content: | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Cape Dinga near Nassau Bay on 15 July 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item contains a number of documents: "Ordnance service regulations manual", issued by the Ministry of War in October 1941; "Ordnance service regulations and rules" of the 102nd Infantry Regiment, dated 25 July 1921; and "Wartime ordnance service regulations" of the 102nd Infantry Regiment, dated 15 October 1941. These items contain information on equipment maintenance, supply and transportation, expenditure, planning, training and the acquisition of weapons in "conquered territory". |
