Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for 1st Class Petty Officer JA147305 of the 11th Kure Air Defense Unit, who was captured in Garu near Marcus Point on 28 March 1944. JA147305, a 24 year old 1st Class Petty Officer from Mie Prefecture, was suffering from malaria and a sore foot and separated from his unit when he was captured by US Marine Corps. During the interrogation, JA147305 provided information on unit organisation, movement, Air Defense Unit's function, and Allied air raid attacks on New Britain.
