Content: | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. This issue reports the commencement of the campaign on Luzon, the outcomes of the Leyte campaign, the bombings of Japanese military and industrial sites (including the Mitsubishi Aircraft Factory in Nagoya), the creation of a new British fleet in the Pacific, and the situation in Burma. It also mentions the performance of the Nazis in Europe and the Cabinet reshuffle in Tokyo. 140,000 of them were printed. 30,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Morotai on 22 Janurary 1945, 25,500 to Torokina on 25 January 1945, 44,500 to Darwin on 25 January 1945 and 15,000 to Tadji (near Aitape) on 27 January 1945. |
