| Content: | This administrative document relates to the withdrawl to Sio of Japanese troops from the area around Lae in Sept 1943. The document would have been circulated to all units prior to the evacuation, and gives detailed instructions on the disposal of surplus stores, equipment and installations, the evacuation of casualties, and the establishment of supply points. The unit , the 15th Anti-aircraft Machine Cannons, was written in pencil on the document, and possibly was attached to the 51st Division which was in action in the area at the time. ATIS spot report no. 132 attached to the document is a complete translation of this item. |
