Content: This item consists of a handdrawn map of Papua, New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago. It contains only rivers, mountains and place names transliterated into Japanese. On the verso of the map is an Australian Dept of Civil Aviation issue aeronautical map of the ocean to the east of New Guinea. This 1941 edition map was reissued by the Imperial Japanese Army Land Survey Dept in Apr 1942. The area of the map covers only the Bradley Reefs.
