 AJRP update |
1 March 2000: The first section of a bibliography of Japanese language secondary materials added to the Research aids.
1 February 2000: A glossary of Japanese military terms, ranks and unit names containg over 800 entries added to the Research aids.
22 December 1999: A Sub-series of BCOF related documents held at the Kure Municipal History Office consisting of 177 articles from the Asahi Newspaper was published in the the Database section.
1 November 1999: The first installment of a series of over 1500 documents dealing with the British Commonwealth Occupation Force in post-war Japan was published in the Database section of the AJRP.
15 October 1999: A mailing list was implemented to provide information on updates to frequent visitors to the AJRP.
18 June 1999: Several seminar papers delivered at the Australian War Memorial were published in the Research Aids section of the website.
30 March 1999: The series AWM 82 captured Japanese documents was completed.
1 August 1998: A counter was implemented on the AJRP home page.
30 June 1998: The AJRP website was launched by the Ambassador of Japan, His Excellency Mr Yukio Satoh, at a function at the Australian War Memorial. Read his message of welcome.
