Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) combined interrogation report for 22 Japanese prisoners of war, most captured in New Britain, between March and April 1944 and found not worth complete interrogation. The interrogations were conducted by student interrogators primarily for training purposes and the accuracy of the information was not verified. It contains information on ammunition, personnel strength, casualties, Allied prisoners of war, ship movements, Japanese naval losses, result of Allied bombardment of Pak Island (near Manus Island) by Allied warships, airports and airfields, results of Allied air raids and Japanese Army volunteers.
