Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Leading Seaman JA145713 of the 85th Communications Unit, who was captured in Gali near Weber Point on 14 February 1944. JA145713, a 18 year old Leading Seaman from Kumamoto, was sick with malaria and asleep when he was captured by a Papuan Infantry Battalion (PIB) patrol. During the interrogation, JA145713 provided information on unit organisation, movement, and naval boats. He also mentioned his experience in the Doolittle Raid over Tokyo.
