Content: | This is a Japanese-language propaganda news bulletin produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. Major events covered by this bulletin include the emergency convocation of the Japanese Diet to consider the problems caused by Allied air raids in Japan, China and elsewhere. It also outlined Allied gains in France and the north of Italy. Continued Allied air raids and the establishment of bases in the Central Pacific are also described in the leaflet. The leaflet contains a sketch map of Europe depicting Allied and Soviet pushes towards Germany. 100,000 of them were printed. 47,000 of these leaflets were dispatched to Darwin on 12 September 1944 and total of 50,700 of them were dispatched to Hollandia on 14 and 22 September 1944. |
