| 内容の概要 | This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) interrogation report for Senior Aircraftman AKANE Saburô of the Dobo Air Corps, who was captured on an island off Arnhem Land on 21 April 1943. AKANE, a 21 year old Senior Aircraftman from Okayama, was captured after his aircraft was shot down during a reconnaissance flight over the Arafura Sea. He was a wireless operator and rear gunner in the aircraft. During the interrogation, AKANE provided information on his unit and Naval Air Service ranks as well as on defence at Dobo on the island of Aru in Netherlands East Indies. |
