内容の概要 | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office. An English translation of the text is attached. The leaflet concerns trade issues such as the use of export earnings for the war, the increased import of ammunition and the severe impact of the war on ordinary Japanese citizens. The message states that ordinary Japanese people started to believe that enemies were ruining Japan by refusing to trade with her as the domestic economic situation deteriorated. The leaflet stresses that it was not the trade sanctions by the Allies but the greed of the Japanese military clique that led Japan to the war and brought the economic downturn. 50,000 of them were printed. |
