内容の概要 | This item is a Japanese-language propaganda leaflet produced by the Far Eastern Liaison Office during the Second World War. An English translation of the text is attached. The message asks the recipient whether they have ever had doubts about the performances of the Japanese Navy announced by the Japanese Headquarters. It questions how the Americans would have re-captured a large part of New Guinea, Saipan, Guam, Palao, Morotai and most recently the Philippines, if they had suffered the enormous losses reported by the Japanese leaders. The message attempts to make the Japanese wonder why the American forces get closer to mainland Japan and the situation for Japanese troops becomes worse, every time favourable war results are announced. |
