| 内容の概要 | This item is a small leaflet noting that the bearer has ceased resistance and must be treated in accordance with the International Law concerning POWs. There is a message in Japanese from the Commander-in-Chief of the US forces in Biak on the back of the leaflet, which urges Japanese soldiers to surrender. The messages states that it is no use continuing resistance as all ammunition and supplies have run out and their commander, Colonel KUZUME, has committed suicide. The message ends with the quote, "Yesterday's enemies become today's friends". The leaflet is accompanied by an English translation of the Japanese message. |
