Content: | This item consists of copies of two letters from the Chief of Staff of the Talili Group to his counterpart in the 11th Division, and a draft of one of the letters. Repatriation schedule and procedures, establishment of a repatriation office at the Minamizaki (3rd) Camp and road and sea transport to repatriation vessels are discussed in the document titled "Preparation of transport for repatriation." A personnel list of the repatriation office at the Minamizaki Camp is attached. The other document requests permission to send a cable to the Japanese Repatriation Minister regarding the repatriation schedule from Rabaul and asks the 11th Division to provide information on repatriation procedures at least a week in advance. The Chief of Staff of the Talili Group also inquires about restrictions on personal belongings to be taken aboard, preparation of provisions and medication, and repatriation of patients. |
