Content: These records consist of war diaries, operations records, and orders from Japanese army campaigns in the South East Area. They either survived the post-war campaign of destruction of official documents or were compiled in the immediate post-war period by the Japanese Demobilisation Ministry. Examples of documents are several volumes of records of operations of the 18th Army, and collections of military orders for Japanese units in the South Pacific.
