Content: This item is a Japanese translation of a letter from Lieutenant Colonel Anderson of the 11th Division regarding the repatriation of Japanese servicemen from Rabaul. Matters discussed include proceedings of repatriation, personnel affairs relating to repatriation, documents to be prepared, boarding procedures, closure of camps, handling of agricultural produce after the closure of camps and suspected war criminals. Unskilled labourers and former servicemen selected by General IMAMURA formed the first group to be repatriated. Following this group, some 1000 disabled servicemen were to be repatriated.
