Content: The item consists of two sections. The first is a direction from the Australians to the Japanese regarding the establishment of a camp for officers. Officers above Colonel should live in different accommodation in a camp and officers above Major-General should live in a separate compound. The number of support staff is also specified for the officers' compound. The second section is a minute of a meeting between General IMAMURA and the commander of the 11th division. IMAMURA questions various issues on setting up camps. The document provides a clear picture of the demands of the Australian forces placed on the Japanese about the camps. IMAMURA's command authority is taken away and the Australian officers will directly command the Japanese forces.
