Content: This item is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured on the Trobriand Islands on 16 March 1943. This field diary contains battle reports for the No. 3 Battery, 50th Field Anti-aircraft Gun Battalion during operations in the Rabual area between 26 December 1942 and 23 February 1943. It contains battle summaries, details of conditions prior to combat, casualty charts, charts of losses and damages sustained, observations about enemy tactics, and sketch maps showing firing positions and bombing runs.
