As well as the date and cause of death, the document lists HISAYAMA's service record in the Imperial Army beginning with his induction into the 8th Army Service Corps Regiment. After joining the 78th Infantry Regiment in 1942, HISAYAMA participated in military operations at Palau, before landing with his unit at Hansa Bay in May 1943.
