Content: This is an Allied Translator and Interpreter Section (ATIS) translation of a Japanese publication captured at Nuk Nuk (south of Salamaua) on 7 October 1943 during the Japanese retreat from campaigns in the Owen Stanley Ranges. This item contains operational orders for the 66th Infantry Regiment between 18 January and 12 June 1943, including the construction of a bridge at Kokopo, the construction of an airfield near Kabakaul, the accumulation of supplies in preparation for operations in Mubo-Salamaua area, improvement of Araki road (known as "White man's road") west of Komiatum, maleria treatment and other routine matters. It also contains a sketch map of the Araki Road.
