Content: The item consists of SHIGENO Yoshitsugu's personal belongings. They are his personnel record, a certificate issued 11 August 1943 certifying that he has no criminal record, an envelop which seems to have contained the two documents, a postcard from Ms TAKIMI Tazuko, fragments of pocket books, a memo with an item list, and blank accounting forms. SHIGENO Yoshitsugu from Kôchi (born 11 February 1916) was conscripted on 26 January 1943 and belonged to Akatsuki 6178 Unit from Ujina. Hiroshima. The fragments of pocket books contain names and addresses, hand-drawn maps, and diagrams of a small barge. The memo contains a list of items such as a blanket, a helmet, and a gas mask. The blank forms and memo may not be his belongings.
